Our AML and Verification Policy

We hold Curaçao licence 8048/JAZ2016-050, and that licence obliges us to run strict anti-money-laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) controls. This page explains, in plain language, what we check, when we check it and what happens next.

Our Anti-Money Laundering Commitment

We launched in 2018 under licence number 8048/JAZ2016-050 issued by the Curaçao licensing authority, and we operate our platform in line with that jurisdiction's anti-money-laundering regulations. Money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud are real risks for any payment-handling business, so we treat AML compliance as an operating requirement, not a marketing statement.

Our programme rests on three pillars: verifying who our players are, monitoring how money moves through their accounts, and reporting suspicious activity to the relevant authorities. Every player account on our platform falls within the scope of this programme, regardless of stake size or VIP tier. Nobody is exempt, including members of our own VIP club.

When We Verify Your Identity

Verification runs at three trigger points. First, we confirm your basic details (name, date of birth, address) at registration through automated database checks. Second, before your first withdrawal, we request full documentation. Third, we re-verify at thresholds or when something in your account activity requires a second look.

The documents we ask for are standard: a government-issued photo ID (passport, driving licence or national ID card), a proof of address dated within the last three months (utility bill, bank statement or council tax letter), and proof that the payment method belongs to you (a photo of the card with the middle digits covered, or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name).

How Verification Works Step by Step

The process is deliberately short. Most players complete it in under ten minutes, and our compliance team reviews standard submissions within 24 hours, though complex cases can take up to three business days when we need to verify documents with external sources.

Documents you upload go into an encrypted vault, accessible only to our compliance staff who need them for a specific check. We never display your documents in your account profile, never share them with game providers, and never send them by email.

  • Upload your photo ID and, where the frame allows, enable the camera scan so we can read it automatically.
  • Add a proof of address showing your name and residential address, dated within three months.
  • Photograph your deposit card with the first 6 and last 4 digits visible and the middle digits and CVV covered, or screenshot your e-wallet account page.
  • Submit the files through the secure Verification section of your account, not by email or live chat.
  • Our compliance team reviews the submission and confirms the outcome by email, usually within 24 hours.
  • If anything is unclear, we contact you with a specific request rather than rejecting the file outright.

Source of Funds Requests

Occasionally we need to confirm that the money you play with comes from a legitimate origin. This is not an accusation; it is a licence obligation that applies to us when deposit or play patterns reach levels that our risk model flags. You are most likely to receive a source of funds request if you deposit substantially more than the average player, if cumulative deposits exceed several thousand pounds, or if your betting pattern changes sharply without an obvious explanation.

Acceptable evidence includes recent payslips, a tax return or HMRC letter, pension or dividend statements, a signed employment contract, or bank statements showing income matching your deposit levels. Crypto players can provide exchange records linking their wallet to a verified exchange account. We review what you send against your actual deposit history, and once the check closes we record the outcome and move on.

Monitoring Deposits and Withdrawals

Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes through automated screening before it settles. Deposits are checked against sanctions lists, peer-to-peer risk indicators and card-fraud signals; withdrawals are checked against deposit history, so that funds leave the way they arrived. In practice this means we return withdrawals to the same method you used to deposit, in line with the standard same-method rule, unless the method cannot receive payouts, in which case we pay out by bank transfer to an account in your name.

Our limits frame how much can move in a given period. Minimum deposits and withdrawals sit at £45, and you can withdraw up to £5,000 per day and £20,000 per month. Withdrawals to e-wallets arrive within 0 to 24 hours, card withdrawals take 1 to 3 business days, and bank transfers can take up to 5 business days. We charge no fees on either side, and crypto payouts in BTC or USDT settle within 24 hours of confirmation.

What Happens If Verification Fails

If you do not provide requested documents within 30 days, or if the documents cannot be validated, we restrict your account in stages. First we block withdrawals, so funds stay in your balance but cannot leave it. Deposits may also be suspended if the request relates to a payment-method check. If a further 30 days pass without a response, we suspend the account entirely and hold the balance pending verification.

Funds in a restricted or suspended account are not forfeited. Complete the verification at any point and we restore access, process the queued withdrawal and lift the restrictions, normally within one business day of approval. Where we find deliberate identity fraud, use of third-party payment methods without consent, or attempts to structure deposits under thresholds, we close the account, void related winnings and, where the law requires it, file a report with the licensing authority.

How Long We Keep Your Documents

We retain verification records, transaction logs and compliance decisions for five years after your account closes, because our licence and applicable record-keeping rules require it. Retention also protects you: if a payment dispute or fraud claim surfaces years later, the records show exactly what was verified and when. After the retention period expires, we delete personal documents through secure destruction, and you can request confirmation of that deletion at any time by writing to [email protected].

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to verify before I can deposit and play?

No. Registration checks your basic details, so you can deposit and play straight away. Full document verification applies before your first withdrawal, at set thresholds or when an account review triggers it.

How long does verification take at Supercat Casino?

Standard submissions are reviewed within 24 hours. Cases needing external confirmation, such as older documents or cross-border proof of address, can take up to three business days.

Why must my withdrawal go back to my deposit method?

Our licence requires the same-method rule as an anti-money-laundering control, so funds leave by the route they arrived. If a deposit method cannot receive payouts, we pay by bank transfer to an account in your own name.

What if I cannot provide a source of funds document?

Contact us before the 30-day deadline. We accept a range of evidence, from payslips to tax returns to crypto exchange records, and we will tell you which specific document fits your situation.

Is my ID safe after I upload it?

Documents sit in an encrypted vault that only compliance staff with a live case can access. We never email documents back, never show them in your account profile and delete them five years after your account closes.
